Healthy Start’s 10th Annual Cover That Pumpkin Diaper Drive is back this October, and we need our community’s help to reach our goal of 20,000 diapers for local families.
Diapers are an everyday necessity, but for many families, the cost can quickly become overwhelming. Diapers also are not covered by programs like WIC or SNAP, which can leave parents with very limited options when they are struggling to make ends meet.
There are several ways to help. You can donate diapers and wipes, purchase needed items directly from our Walmart Registry, or make a financial contribution to support the drive. Every box, pack, and donation brings us one step closer to helping Okeechobee babies stay clean, dry, and comfortable.

Motherhood Unfiltered: Time for You

Between school, work, appointments, and a busy fall schedule, moms often put themselves last. Motherhood Unfiltered is a space to slow down, connect with other moms, and enjoy an hour with people who understand the ups and downs of motherhood.
A free kids’ group, led by licensed therapist Megan Clements, is available for little ones not yet in school, so you can fully participate and take a little time for yourself.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Vigil
Cover That Pumpkin is Back!
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to honor babies gone too soon and recognize the families who continue to carry their memory and love every day.
Healthy Start invites families, friends, and community members to join us for our Pregnancy & Infant Loss Candlelight Vigil. We’ll come together to remember babies gone too soon, light candles in their memory, and support the families who continue to carry their love with them.
This evening is meant to be a peaceful space for families to pause, remember, and feel supported by others in the community. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, your baby’s memory matters.
You do not have to have experienced a loss personally to attend. Friends, loved ones, and community members who want to show support are welcome to join us as we stand beside families and honor the babies who are deeply missed.

Mark your calendars for Brunchin’ for Babies, Healthy Start’s Quarterly Community Meeting! Join us for brunch, program updates, and a chance to connect with local partners while exchanging brochures and upcoming community dates.
We’re also supporting our Cover That Pumpkin Diaper Drive, so bring diapers or wipes to donate. Each donation earns you an entry into a gift card raffle as a thank-you for supporting local families.
